Every year I spend ten days at the Toronto International Film Festival taking in films from around the world. These are cultural representations of whats going on in these countries and so I report on them because, it can be argued, it is a form of travel.

This year at TIFF, I visited Spain, Taiwan, Russia, Sweden, Italy, Japan, Canada, USA and the UK. I saw some excellent films and some that were not so great.

Ive reviewed eight films today.

Things to do in Beijing

At the moment I am in Beijing for an internship in the fashion industry and I am living my experience abroad to the fullest getting to see as much of this beautiful city as possibile.

I would like to share some great things to do in Beijing with everyone so that you make sure you will come here in the near future!

Vacation in Beijing

1.I’ll start with Beihai Park, an imperial garden to the northwest of the Forbidden City, which will be the second place worth mentioning but I though it would be could to build it up slowly:)

Beihai Park is home to one of the largest chinese gardens and has a beautiful lake which covers almost the entire park.

Setting Off On My South Western Tour

For most of the summer I have been feverishly working seven days a week in order to top up my traveling fund which I had previously emptied down to the last penny. I can finally say that with much delight, I have saved up enough money for another trip.

Well done me and I am giving myself a pat on the back as it did not take me as long as I thought it would. So tomorrow morning, with my bags packed I am setting off …

So Where Am I Going?

My next destination was to be the Black Sea region however I have delayed this until next year as a friend would like to accompany me on this tour.  S

HRS launches new booking tools for mobiles

HRS, a hotel booking portal, today (September 26) launched new mobile booking tools aimed at the corporate traveller.

The innovations include an update of its iPhone app and of its mobile website.

It said the changes will help business travellers to access discounts of up to 30% off the standard leisure rate in hotels while they area

Parisian Wine Celebrated in Montmartre Festival

The fabled Parisian district of Montmartre celebrates the arrival of the new vintage of the beloved Clos Montmartre wine with the Montmartre Harvest Festival, from Oct. 5 to 9.

The only Parisian vineyards still active exist because the government stepped in to support the recreation of the areas original vines after a real estate development project threatened their existence early in the 20th century. The first vines were replanted in 1933.
