The interactive tour includes two pub stops as well as stops by Wax Trax Records where 90s rock group Ministry created records, Smashing Pumpkins Billy Corgans house during the 90s, Liz Fairs Wicker Park hangouts and Ideful studio, as well as the clubs, bars and record label that helped form the Chicago alternative music scene. The tour costs $32 and you must be 21 or older to participate.
Chicago Rock Stars is a three hour tour that showcases the stories and inspirations of Chicagos contemporary rock stars. The tour covers 10 artists who have played Lollapalooza, including Wilco, Fall Out Boy, Smoking Popes and Poi Dog Pondering. Participants will visit nine Chicago neighborhoods, spanning 23 miles. Top off your Chicago musical journey with a stop by an eatery that witnessed much of the 90s alt-music scene, Ear Wax Cafe.
